This large format drawing and its companion piece attempt to recreate something of the atmosphere of a zoological Nocturnal House where the animals operate in a day night reversal enabling visitors to the zoo to view animals awake and active when they should normally be asleep. Amongst the dimly lit signs and glass cases are numerous Australian fauna, including: an owl, quolls, small wallabies, fruit bats, Tasmanian Devils, a wombat, tree frogs, a ring tail possum, kangaroo rats and a tawny frog.
