 Elizabeth Poole

Elizabeth Poole http://elizabethpoole.com.au is a visual artist living and working near Toogoolawah north-west of Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

The Australian bush where I have been lucky enough to live and work for most of my life is fragile and often fragmented in appearance.
My time and observations are divided between the area known as Wallum, which is basically floodplains and heathland surrounding Noosa’s lake and river systems, and the even more sparse, as well as bony, dry inland.
I am also interested in observing and recording the forms and patterns of the earthlings which inhabit these areas.

The Medal Blooms installation at The Commonwealth Games village was inspired by the sprinkling of yellow wildflowers through the Australian grasslands and dunes.

Variations of the Medal Blooms  appeared in my solo exhibition at Somerset Regional Gallery June - September 2018, then Swell Sculpture Festival September 2018.

New work from 2019 - 2022 will be gradually added over next few weeks.....
