WATERCOLOURS - Florals

Flowers are beautiful, so I like to paint them. Watercolour paints have beautiful transparent qualities, so I like to use them to create paintings of beauty! It’s as simple as that. No political statements, no hidden messages. Just the desire to record nature in a moment of its wondrous glory.

There is just something about flowers that seem to cry out to me to paint them. Their individual forms, colours, patterns and textures are qualities that I find intriguing.

Quickly produced work is not my style. I like to absorb myself in the process of precise draftsmanship and deliberate painting. This is such a satisfying and enjoyable experience for me. By being immersed in the contemplative study of creation, I aim to achieve a sense of quietness and stillness in my work.
