ARTIST STATEMENT

The aim of my practice is to explore the changing beauty of nature through a window of geometric patterns and sacred geometry. Throughout history, artists and cultures have been inspired by naturally forming mathematical patterns that provide clues to the illusive balance of life.

My work is based on the concept of illusion and perception. What we see and what we think we see are often in conflict. Visual clues are transmitted to our brain where they are analyzed, labelled and finally interpreted.

I am interested in that fractional moment when our perception of an image changes in front of our eyes, thereby consciously catching glimpses of the brain processing visual information.
