Altered Book Collaboration

The Altered Book Collaboration, run by Peta Lloyd in Rockhampton, was a brilliant combination of collaborating with other artists and making art based on a given theme.
Each artist chose their originating book and wrote an explanation of the theme. The originating artist also worked on the front and back cover, a sign-in page and a double page spread inside the book. These books were sent to the next person in line and at the start of each month were sent on again until every participant had completed their pages for each book. Each time a book would arrive on my doorstep, I felt like I was receiving a present. I would savour the idea presented and revel in coming up with my own ideas to interpret the theme.
