A u s t r a l i a n     a r t i s t

Inspired by material and place, and informed by nature, I focus on the object itself and its inherent materiality by evoking organic morphologies. Inviting touch, sculptural surfaces project a calm acceptance of impermanence, instability and transience. Each work honours our relationship with nature and the natural environment while retaining humanistic qualities of condition and the body. Motivated by archetypal relationships between human nature and the natural environment, my work occupies the liminal zones or meeting places of material, place, space, imagination and memory.
