Robyn Bauer is an Australian Artist, Author, Sculptor, Art History Lecturer and Gallery Director.

"My work is based on extensive research into symbolism, metaphor and layers of meaning. I then work intuitively, melding the different genres of botanical art, animal and bird art (with a particular focus on Australia) portraiture, and landscape elements in an original way, always with one eye on the old masters and the great tradition of western painting. The History of Art has always been my first love."
