John Drake is a Australian Artist operating from his home studio in the southern suburbs of Brisbane. From his traditional watercolour landscape background, John has recently made good use of his figure drawing, and also lately incorporated other of his traditional illustrative work into Acrylic Abstract with significant visual appeal. John greatly enjoys taking older content images and working these into very loose abstract glazes.

Corporate,and personal commission work is now progressing well.

John is due to feature as 'Artist of the Month'at Bribie Island Art Gallery during the month of September 2010, following a workshop within the Art Gallery Complex.

Another earlier Exhibition (13th to 27th August ) will take place at the street front Display Window of the Pine Rivers Art Gallery.

During October and beginning of November 2010, John is
due to follow up on invitations to show some of his work in New Zealand,having prepared some selective scenes that he has now finalised.

John is currently producing some Mediteranean, Spanish and Italian Water colour and Acrylic work for future exhibiting, from his Cruise journey's through this region late 2009.
John is on hand during these viewing times to discuss his latest work, and to follow up on commission orders as required.
