I am an Aboriginal Australian.  I was born in Brisbane, Queensland a long way from the home of my ancestors on the Narran River in New South Wales.

After retiring from the workforce and while recovering from illness I felt a need to paint so started painting my family & my stories at the age of 60 years.  At this time I was living in Elbow Valley near Warwick, Queensland.  Around 2 years ago I felt that I needed to return to my great, great grandmothers tribal lands on the Narran.

Recently I moved to Lightning Ridge which is in North Western New South Wales and now have my own gallery A Quiet Mans Place, which is open daily (excepting Wednesdays) or other times by appointment.
