Artist, Sonja Jack: I live and work on the Gold Coast, Queensland.I studied Commercial Art at the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane. My works are of a Contemporary style, with influences being a mix between, Joan Miro,(Favourite Artist) and Aboriginal Art. (First art of my home land) Subject matter is from my imagination. A layer technique creates thin to very thick (almost 3 dimensional)texture. This with mat and gloss areas of the work leaves the viewer with the eager and desire to touch the work and marvel at how it has been achieved.

PHILOSOPHY:
My work to me is a pleasure, which I hope I convey to the Viewer. I love balance, of line, solids, space and surface textures.I use geometric shapes in my works and have a love of colours. The challenge and enjoyment of creating is all a part of the pleasure and achievement I find in every work I do.
