Robert Andrews is a versatile Brisbane-based Australian artist and art tutor. In his current figurative paintings and mixed media pieces he explores aspects of self, the psyche, identity, duality, memory, place and alienation. The works also act as mediators between the artist's private and public self.

Other work: abstract and semi-abstract paintings and sculptural assemblages in a contemporary style, based on aspects of landscape and/or the built environment. The aesthetics of the ordinary are explored in these works, while some also investigate the boundary between painting and sculpture.
