When editing your website you may find that changes made in your back office are not visible in the front end. This problem is caused by your computer accessing a cached version (a copy stored on your hard drive) of the page rather than downloading the updated version.
The following instructions will rectify this problem by adjusting a setting within Internet Explorer.
PC Users:
> Open Internet Explorer
>From the Menu select "Tools"
> "Internet options"
> "Temporary Files"
> in the "Settings" box select "Every Visit to the page".
MAC Users
> Open Internet Explorer
>From the Menu select "Edit"
> Preferences
> From the Popup Box select "Web Browser"
> Advanced
> In the Cache section check the "Always" button
Alternatively you can simply refresh the window that has been edited if it does not update. You may need to do a complete refresh by holding down the Control (PC) / Apple (MAC) button while clicking the refresh button.
The following instructions will rectify the problem when using Safari.
>Close all open windows.
>From the Menu select "Safari"
>"Empty Cache..." |
