 Megan Jones at Gaffa Gallery
 Megan Jones' latest solo exhibition - Speleology in the cave of Mnemosyne - opens on 22 March (6pm) at Gaffa Gallery (281 Clarence Street, Sydney CBD. Ph: (02) 9283 4273) and continues until 3 April.

 This exhibition deals with memory, which is at the core of our notion of ourselves as a continuing identity, and is conceptualised as a self portrait, with groups of personal memory paintings focussing on the affective aspects and associative operations of memory.

 Susan Weir's New York tours
Susan Weir is hosting Art and Design tours to New York in Spring and Autumn this year. You can experience New York from an artist, designer and native New Yorker's point of view during May, June or September and visit New York's leading museums,  galleries, street art and eateries in five different neighborhoods.  Family rally behind Parkinsons' Fundraiser
Jen Conde is exhibiting, alongside other members of her family, paintings and prints at the charity art show - Art for Parkinsons. All works at the show will be available for purchase and funds raised will go towards finding a cure for Parkinsons disease.

Exhibition opens Friday 23 March (6pm) at Three White Rooms Gallery (138 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington, Brisbane) and continues until 25 March.

 Ross Booker at Retrospect Galleries NSW
Ross Booker is taking part in the group exhibition - The Full Spectrum at Retrospect NSW (52 Jonson St, Byron Bay, NSW). The show opens Friday 2 March (6.00pm) and continues until 23 March 2012. The show explores how artists use colour in their work and includes Fiona Kennedy-Altoft and John Cottrell.

 Di West work at Art Nuvo
Di West is exhibiting Bronze Sculptures in a new show along with Sydney painter Conchita Carambano at Art Nuvo Gallery (25 Gloucester Rd, Buderim, Qld. Ph: 07 5426 2445) which opens Friday 2 March until 24 March.

Di West was also selected for inclusion in the Stanthorpe Arts Festival which runs to 9 April at Stanthorpe Regional Art Gallery (Lock St, Stanthorpe, Qld).

 Stephen Baxter work in Stanthorpe Art Festival
Stephen Baxter’s painting - Untitled Australian Landscape - was selected for the Stanthorpe Art Festival Art Prize which is currently on at The Stanthorpe Regional Gallery until 9 April.  Nicola Moss - Hill End and BigCi residencies
Nicola Moss has been accepted for two residencies this year. With one month each at Hill End and BigCi in the Blue Mountains later this year. Both locations offer ideal environments for Nicola's ongoing research and work exploring biodiversity and ecological values of the Australian landscape. Both residencies will involve engagement with local communities looking at impacts on the landscape and conservation projects.  Adrienne Williams at BRAG and Doggett Street
Adrienne Willams' new work - The Spotted Gum. From Bundanon to Bundaberg - which is currently on at Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery will be moving to Doggett Street Studio on April 27. Material from a Bundanon residency and Adrienne’s new country habitat are at the core of these works and seasonal change is explored through textures, peeling spots, and creamy trunks in oil canvasses and collagraph prints.  Jimmy Rix commission - Sheepish
Jimmy Rix's commission - Sheepish - commissioned by Landcom and Blacktown Council for Merriville Rise, Kellyville Ridge (NSW) is in a public park which is a historical part of Australia's rural heritage. The machinery used in the sculpture was found on the exact site, and was originally a wool press for baling wool from the sheep raised on this property.  Artists selected for Rotary Art Spectacular
This year, the Brisbane Rotary Art Spectacular will benefit the Cerebal Palsy League and is expected to welcome more than 35000 visitors in 2012.
 
Artists Joyce Blanche, Adrian Hunter and Sue Hunter all have paintings selected for inclusion in the event which will be held 19-28 April at Riverside Centre (123 Eagle Street, Brisbane, Qld).
