Coming out of the gloaming onto the softly lit lawn below the Edwardian rotunda, the pademelons quietly graze. The reserve, so close to Launceston, is out of time, a peaceful, blessed space; an Edenic sanctuary. The painting emerged from images made during the artist's residency at Cataract Gorge in 2010.
