‘From Darkness to Light’, Chapel on Station Gallery, 2013
Coming out of the gloaming onto the softly lit lawn below the Edwardian rotunda, the pademelons quietly graze alongside exotic peacocks. The reserve, so close to Launceston, is out of time, a peaceful, blessed space; an Edenic sanctuary. The painting emerged from images made during the artist's residency at Cataract Gorge in 2010.
