"Ear to the ground" - The practice or characteristic of carefully gathering information; a state or mindset of attentiveness.

In my third year on the South Island of New Zealand, my awareness of sound, light and the weather has heightened in this extraordinary place of contrasts. I am walking the beaches, discovering visual delight, finding intriguing objects, exploring the new plants growing, documenting the landscape, and creating new works.
