A long conversation NFS

The work is responding to the emotions of family and surrounding environment.

These are artworks created from processed Hibiscus tillaceous bast fibre growing on the coastline &

esturaries in south east Queensland.

The collection of the raw material and  the seasons come together to bring the best quality &

harvest of the fibres. 

Each year except in drought the fibres grow prolifically near my home & it gives me a strong sense of

the local environment.
