DRONES - DRONESCAPES - DRONEART - Selected Works on Paper
Since commencing an M. Phil at the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2015 Kathryn has been researching airborne surveillance and weaponised drones. As a result of the research the figure of the drone has entered her own work where she often juxtaposes the drone with the tree-of-life. Her interest in cosmology and perspective [literal and metaphoric] helps to create 'scapes' where the figure of the drone is placed under scrutiny.
This 'gallery' displays a selection of Kathryn's 2016 - 2017 drone paintnigs, dronescapes or droned landscapes.
