I am a visual artist with a focus on the changing landscapes of inland Australia including the history and interconnections to the water and land systems I have lived on or journeyed into. In 2015 I completed a Doctoral of Visual Art researching drawing methods to visualize the hidden interrelationships of rivers and groundwater environments that lie beneath the semi-arid regions of Australia.
Since moving to Brisbane I have continued to make connections with the land and people of Western Queensland and other regional places to orient new ways of looking at sites that are rendered invisible or overlooked by dominant narratives.
Please contact Alexandra Lawson Gallery for enquiries about purchasing of work.
I acknowledge the Gunggari, Bidjara and Kooma Peoples as the Traditional Owners of the Land that is the area of my research.
