This is my first endeavour to create an animal. I had been watching a TV program about how Bilbies, a small Australian marsupial, are very endangered. I was entranced by the beauty and uniqueness of these wonderful creatures.

I felt compelled to create to create a work of two pieces, but tried to be a little different in my approach, in that i wanted to show the animal asleep as a mother, with baby waiting at her side.

They are both bronze and are finished in a soft golden coloured patina.
